I can tell you that if you have something worth buying, you will have plenty of cash buyers come out of the woodwork. 

Right before, we completely redid the home (new cupboards, woodworking , everything).

The rich history of the building continues as several woodworking shops and a famous Halloween mask making company (Top Stone) once occupied the facility.

You will also have to replace some pieces of thoroughly compromised wood strips that will not look new no matter what you do, and that will take time,  additional woodworking equipment, and some skill to do well.

Just throwing this out there since I have a HS senior and we've been looking deeper into which direction to go for him.He is interested in construction and loves custom woodworking.
