Had the investor first had an offer accepted and used the disclosures that we use before the other offer was obtained, there would probably been no problem.•Mortgage servicers and originators don't get a lot of sympathy because they brought a lot of this on themselves for their loose underwriting practices.

Now if you have a legitimate tenant some of this could get you in trouble, but a sketchy one is not likely to take you to court and get any sympathy from a judge.

Account Closed thank you for the replyI am a non-immigrant on work visa and trying to find out if there is a way to solve this without getting into legal matters (not trying to gain sympathy, don't know if it affects my work permit renewal, but just trying to stay away from such issues)asked the manager to reduce these additional charges (since the apartment is benefitting from what I pay and he said, "we already gave you 10% discount of what a laminate would have costed")if I said yes to granite and terminated the lease next day, its two months notice and the increase in rent after granite tops install is IIRC 110 per month; I am ready to pay the $220 as additional charges but the manager just ignored...I strongly believe its unfair but I am worried taking it up legally, is court my only option?

I try to think people are generally good and think people deserve 2nd chances and the benefit of the doubt, but parents that are so bad the state takes their kids away is a group I have very little sympathy for.

Account Closed   Maria BP is a pro landlord site.. so the ( I paid my rent you lost it ) is not going to get much sympathy with this crowd.... why don't you set up ACH like most tenants do.. why would you pay with a cashiers check ???
