You might engage with them and help them understand unemployment is available for 100% of lost wages there are food stamps available etc. you might also inform them that they need to provide documentation to get rent delayed   ?

I haven't forced them to use Cozy but provided them the option with the benefits of:-accepts split payments for easy in budgeting-builds credit for future car or home purchases-no driving to the post office or paying for stamps-electronic receipts-can setup Auto transfer so you don't need to worry about it-no fee-accepts credit card payments for challenging times (like now)

Anything that will be withheld I get pictures of, ideally with date/time stamps, and of course associated costs from contractors, as you will be sending a detailed list of any holdbacks with their return of security deposit, via certified, signature required letter.Don't forget to get their new address as well.

I would not be willing to cut the rent if they have not cut their lifestyle.If they 'lost' their job and did not quit, they should be fine in paying rent with unemployment benefits at the enhanced level, free medical care, and food stamps/EBT benefits.
