For a cabin in the mountains, you'll probably have to get a hot tub, otherwise you just gave you STR a nail in the coffin.

There are ALWAYS hidden surprises like electric that got ran around the meter 15yrs ago, copper stub-outs off galvanized plumbing, split floor joists held together by nailed-in 2x4s, etc.

Plan for the bad, to preserve your investments and legacy.
