Is it accurate for me to say that the city values the home less than people are willing to pay for the home?

I have been homeless, broke, imprisoned, beaten by authority figures, and a number of other things when I was younger.

He will be helping our Organization facilitate all real estate donations and "Bargain Sales" to houses for warriors.We are in dire need of homes across the US to house homeless and injured Veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan Conflicts.

He said because the property was about to be auctioned and he was going to end up homeless.

But yes she is just living in her trailer next to the complex and mooching electricity and allowing several members of the homeless population to use the shower in her unit.I know that turning off utilities is a "self-help eviction" and not a good idea, I just thought it might be different since I am now paying her utilities out of pocket.

Also, is it better to buy a newer home(less than 10 years old) or buy an older one?  

Thanks Jay,I know these types of homes have been thought to be a possible solution to homelessness in the U.S and other parts of the world.

@Nick Williams  i too want to do the same here in the Central, with the exception I want to do it for homeless families in transition.

I mean, technically the homeless guy here is FI.

That is how much it is costing you each year having it lying dead in your home less what mortgage interest would cost.
