Parking and crime downtown remain a challenge. 

I mentioned the temple terrace area because there are plans to expand similar to downtown Tampa.

I have every piece of land plotted within 3 miles of our target downtown districts in Columbus Ohio and miami florida. we focus on higher density, unlimited floor area, unlimited height deals or at least midrise for economies of scale. when you get to larger deals it gets pretty boring but the money is very easy to pencil and raise capital for

My parents live in the Katy neighborhood.It is very safe and from what I understand, has a good school system.A lot of the homes are 'newer builds' since it is still a relatively new neighborhood.You are also in downtown houston in about 30 minutes during non-rush hour times using the I-10 highway.I don't think you can get the 1% rule anymore in the area but close to it.Since the homes are newerish, hopefully the property won't have too much renovation / repair costs.Best of luck

I am seeing a lot of new homes near Downtown that are good for the price and have great potential but they are in older neighborhoods.

Drove around downtown gatlinburg to look at some “premier” new construction properties that are for sale.
