@Jennifer Marshall I know you are down in the San Marcos/Austin/San Antonio area but in DFW you can get the lower end (read as less desirable colors) granite at about $28/sq ft installed.

Looking for suggestions on a good colored stain of some sort that will fill and get this passed.I really don't like doing things this way.

A couple small areas on the front that were painted with a lighter color (almost the same though).

I actually prefer real wood fronts in espresso color since white shows dirt easily and is painted wood.  

All interiors have the same paint color scheme.

You might find that there are restrictions you can't live with like prohibitions on parking a camper, boat or commercial vehicle - and even the colors you can paint your doors or shutters.Be sure to ask whether there are any pending lawsuits against the condo association or any special assessments in existence now or anticipated in the future.You shou;d also request a certificate of good standing from the condo association, meaning that the seller doesn't have any outstanding fines or fees. 

I didn't, but you could add a band of mosaic to add some color.

Or, I thought about just throwing up some lighter shutters & painting the stucco a light color. 

I have found that using the color palettes from the paint companies is 10 times better than trying to choose paint colors individually.
