Is it worth pursuing moving the granite, having it cutdown to right size, and installed on the current cabinets? 

The house required new flooring, new exterior siding, new windows, new cabinets, new siding, new plumbing, and new electrical.

Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Sheetrock, Cabinets, Flooring, etc.

A coat of paint on the walls and cabinets goes a long way.If you are renting out rooms, is there another bathroom?

I’ve seen people charge extra for this in the rent.Typically when you rent by the room the kitchen is shared by all and having predetermined spots for each tenant for cabinet space is also great to do in advance.Personally still doing market research for rent by the room but I’ve read and listened to podcast that indicate what I mentioned above.

Here in AZ you can do things like floors, baseboards & cabinets yourself.

Fully gutted the house, Opened up the wall between the kitchen and living room, New cabinets, new granite, new appliances, new windows.

For aesthetics I’d worry more about the cabinets and the brick fireplace.
