[Note: I thought rent increases for rent controlled properties in Ontario were capped at 2.5% or the CPI (currently around 1.5%) whichever is lower]And a bow shot out to wholesalers:The province also vows to look at practices that may be contributing to tax avoidance and excessive speculation in the housing market, such as "paper flipping" -- a practice that includes entering into a contractual agreement to buy a residential unit and assigning it to another person prior to closing.And a "serious"(?)

We've invested in Brockville (now sold) and currently have a small rental in Pembroke (VERY easy area to rent in) we are looking to sell as we've moved out of province and would like to buy closer to where we are.

One son does help him with the legal issues and property tax invoicingentertained the idea of Owner Financing with a previous prospective buyer, but his accountant suggested against ithe currently pays himself $2,000/mo from the businessin the province of Ontario there is no longer a permitting new construction of new trailer parksThe next step he wants to do is do a tour of the property and we can take a look at the numbers.The next step I want to do is try and convince his accountant that owner financing will be a great strategy.
