Anytime I go to a restaurant or a store I feel like they're attempting to freeze customers out of the premises in order to prevent squatters from staying too long. 

What @Jay Hinrichs is saying is that if you go before a judge, and you show that these leases were signed for significantly under market value and signed just a few days before closing, there is a good chance the judge will side with you because it is an obvious attempt to pay less rent and take advantage of the new owner.I think your next move should be to contact an attorney in your area who specializes in landlord tenant laws in NJ, and see what they recommend. 

Others will attempt to sell and probably include the condo surcharge in the price of their sale.  

I would reach out to your state representative and let them know that PG&E is attempting to overrule state law.

Will admit I'm escalating to some degree because I'm frustrated she escalated so quickly and didn't make an attempt to work through issues.

Seems they were attempting to draft from an old bank account. 

I am thinking about sending a carefully worded certified letter as my first attempt to contact them.  

It's a crappy situation, but by offering them a solution - even if it is on them - it somewhat alleviates the need to fell like you have to act and you have made an attempt to solve.  

My question is, would you just let this ride or does it make more sense to attempt to catch them while they're working and ask them to stop?
