I am living in a house we purchased and I’d like to use my PCS moves to accumulate SFRs but also hopefully purchase a multi-family approximately every 2-4 years so that I have a realistic shot at exiting the military and just spending time with my family.

Here's my situation:  My goal is to establish passive monthly income along with owning properties that accumulate in equity.

Hopefully you still plan on leveraging your VA loan to accumulate additional properties in the future!

I might, just maybe, do it on a deal I am thinking of rehabbing and if someone in this position made me an offer to buy it in xx number of days, but again, we have my holding costs accumulating with I'm not able to start any rehab hoping your loan goes through.

Equity that would have taken years to accumulate buying a property at market value.  

Its true that I would accumulate capital faster by buying in Knoxville, since the mortgage would cover the rent.  

I wouldn't sell all of the rental homes you have accumulated for the farm.

I spent some time working in my own design business, but that industry was (and still is) just paying the bills – not accumulating wealth.
