The losses suck for those that invested in this mess but people lose money all the time in investments, and when you are talking about more than half the country that can't come up with $1k they're not going to have much sympathy for a guy/gal that lost 50k in their unrehabbed Indy rental property.

Moreover, don't expect any sympathy from the judge when he will learn that the whole purpose of the operation was to circumvent the country's mortgage rules.By doing this, you might get access to the local mortgage market.

He believes that politicians will try to earn voter sympathy by showing all the personal stories of disadvantaged receivers of this benefit, and asking how are they supposed to live once this money is taken away because they now rely on it.While UBI would certainly help these disadvantaged people, we already have welfare systems in place for that (which could be improved), and the vast majority of recipients will be every day people and a good percentage of them probably won't think long term and probably will spend the money poorly. As another poster said, "being good with money" is a skill, and without that being developed giving people handouts isn't going to help.

I work all day in commercial construction management, and there is nothing that will substitute the actual doing the work, thought I can talk about labor hours and manage others to do it, I just only have sympathy, not empathy. My husband and I are right there next to you working on our snatch grip deadlifts - that's all we want to do all day, not install toilets.

It's very hard for me to find sympathy for them...The same goes for the hotels that are complaining. The future is more democratized, decentralized economy of which Airbnb will play an important part.
