If you have 8" masonry walls then you need to grout full the wall so basically turning it into solid concrete wall.

Fortunately we had some Polish warriors to do the masonry work... man they are born masons and become master masons by the age of 12!

And had to more securely attach some surface mounted electric boxes so that the box wouldn't be pulled off the wall when a cord was removed (yeah, they were that loose and walls were masonry / concrete block).

I asked the inspector based off what he came across, does he think the property is good or does he think it would be a money pit, he advised his only concern was the moisture on the exterior brick of the building and that I should get a masonry contractor to take a look at it, which I did, and he assured me that it’s just minor work to be done so I am currently moving forward with the purchase!

My question to everyone here is do you know any good masonry, concrete, or block construction companies or licensed professionals that could possibly be a more economical solution that will travel to or are near Manitowoc, WI? 

. They stated that older properties could require this kind of money to restore the decorative masonry used on the external part of the property, wood flooring, etc.
