I recently got a PLM Summary Report on a property detecting 2% Chrysotile in the drywall in the garage and 5% in the popcorn ceiling throughout (looking like just in the spray texture).

-Has no crawlspace (common for older properties) so we couldn't see the foundation-Drywood termite/wood decaying fungi damage seen on all the windows/doors/parts of the beam on the exterior, parts of roof decking and rafters in the attic-Old leaks/moisture damage seen in the ceilings and attic-Parts of the roof has patch work-Roof doesn't have any permits on record (don't know how old it is)Seller's offer to me:-Fumigation treatment for drywood termites (tenting the house)-Replace and repair all damage wood throughout the house-Replace the entire roof with a new permit-Replace one window in every room (not all)-Pay for a structural engineer to inspect the foundation-Offer to get quotes for repairs and have a 15-20K budget to make all repairs, house is 500K.

Although this is probably less likely than the water leaking in through the window wells, it is possible, and you'll want to eliminate it as a cause of the flooding before deciding on how to fix the issue, because if it's groundwater, then the solution to the problem may be completely different than if it's water coming from other sources.As you consider these questions, keep in mind that water follows the path of least resistance--for example, water will flow through a gravel-filled trench much quicker than through solid earth/clay.

There’s a big difference between disagreeing with someone’s methods, promises, and forecasts, and detecting actual fraud.I’m not sure that for many of the gurus we call out that fraud is so easily detected, let alone proved.
