It can choose to rent exclusively to members of their religion, but it still can’t discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, etc.

Somewhere along the line someone invented a religion wherein you don't make babies, you eat lots of rotting meat, you don't drink any water, you don't convert others into your faith, and if anyone near you has an infectious disease you ask them to sneeze directly into your mouth.

And if I may *gasp* stereotype, Hispanics usually have a deep family and religion oriented culture; that would further ease my mind about the criminal concerns. 

Fair housing laws are for protecting people against racism, sexism, ageism, religionism, genderism, disabilityism and any other "ism" that is morally wrong and common criteria for bigotry.....NOTHING, John has said implies or suggest violating any of those protected classes, or any fair housing laws....so if you feel "creepy" vibe, it's probably your problem and your better off keeping it to yourself!

Eastern religions are right about the whole attachment to ends thing: the only way to get anything out of life is to put your dreams aside.

People of this religion will not buy a house if a death occurred inside.When I sold a house in CA after my mom died under in house hospice the realtor put right in the MLS listing that there was a death in the house so that people who were not interested did not come for a viewing.
