I spent four years in the marine corps, started my own contracting business that has been paying my bills for 7 years now.

I recently separated from the Navy and moved with my husband who is an active duty Marine now stationed at Quantico.

It is a marine preserve and the water is very clear.

I'm just getting into REI, and plan to focus initially on lease option, rent to own deals, in Sonoma, Napa and Marin, etc. counties, then within say two hours drive from Santa Rosa.

I am about to separate from the Marine Corps and relocate to Clemson to finish out my degree.

Jacked my interest rate up for a big fat lender credit to cover closing costs.Got $8,000 in lender credit.Paid $120/month more, for six months, because of that higher interest rate.Did a VA IRRRL right at the six month mark (lurkers: this is ONLY for VA loans... call 1-800-Marines and serve for 4 years if you want this).Closing costs on the refi were about $2500.So I got $8,000, but was out [ $120 * 6 + $2500 = $3220 ].
