However, while there are too many housing units and the population will likely continue to decline, there are still desirable neighborhoods that even as populations decline, will have the highest demand for housing due to infrastructure and amenities.

Someone will need to be handling inquiries, monitoring rates, guest issues that arise, marketing, repairs, maintenance, and housekeeping. 

My friends that are doing this aren't what I could consider investors in the sense they're not monitoring the market - they have a good tenant that doesn't bother them so keep the rent the same for years until something bad happens like the bathtub overflows. 

I can understand if the contractors work say between 7pm to 12 pm only,in that case I can monitor them,  but most of the time they work during the day.

The house runs around $129,000 and infrastructure was around $50,000.

In all of my units I include a private workspace that's in a room with a door that closes (important for video calls), a comfy desk chair, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and hdmi cables.

I have not had a problem and they are not requiring Central Monitoring on any of my policies from 1-8 units.

Lots of virtues with good infrastructure, govt. and tourism industry, not on the main hurricane track, still laid back and not a huge scene.

I also found a website that scans/monitors other sites for legitimacy, and it flagged theirs as likely a scam; d) I know of a handful of investors in my area who didn't learn through a program like this, but through their own networks and education (through REI networking events, getting their RE license, property management, books, etc); e) I started exploring BP's free and affordable (i.e. books) resources, and it turns out, these have been immensely useful and educational and allow me to move at my own pace. 

Improving public transportation and ensuring it remains accessible and fare-free is a positive step, but it's not enough if residents still need to commute long distances for work or basic amenities.Investing in local infrastructure, encouraging businesses to set up in Worcester, and providing incentives to attract and retain jobs within the city are essential steps.
