Modern materials and coatings do a great job from having a dog scratch up a floor however at the same time you don't know if they're going to chew up the cabinets or some nice molding around a door.

Who knows what kind of bills they have that could easily chew up the rest of their income.

A puppy needs constant supervision and chews on EVERYTHING.

I will say, regardless of the value of the house-- dogs are dogs, and dogs have accidents, and dogs chew stuff when they get bored!

Court will chew you up as a landlord here.

I have also begun to "pet proof" switching out carpets with the vinyl plank flooring, with carpets being the biggest issues with pets, second biggest issue would be chewing/scratching doors/trim. 

I don't like to chew on the fat or beat around the bush, so ...Do you think it is wrong when; There is a house for sale listed with a agent/(broker etc..) and you go up knock on that individuals' door, and one way or another tell them ( and this can be in any number of ways, such as - Dont bother listing it with them/ Take it off the listing/ Save your 3-6% with me etc) and pretty much under cut the agent/broker and deal directly with the owner?

There is something about doors that Tenants seem to be attracted to, like little puppies loving to chew on things.  

The dog chewed through the fence in the yard that belongs to the neighbor. 

Is the floor clean or are there some chewed up rubber pieces?
