I see this post is almost a year old, but its not ancient. 

Old galvanized pipes, ancient water heaters and AC units, crumbling stucco, terrible layouts...hard to find anything in a good area and good shape at that price around here.  

I guess markets vary, but as was said upthread, no one ever says they don't want it because of the appliances unless they're ancient.

The furnace in ANCIENT, but works, and the inspection said the roof is around 15 years old.
