You have to rent a yacht and a swimming pool for a couple of hours and hire a couple of blond siliconed bimbettes, er, actresses to hang all over you while you make a TV ad.

(if you can't tell i am a "coupon shopper"...every time i see a TV REI show and they go to home depot i wonder if they used a coupon!

Today one of the local furniture companies had an ad on tv, temporarily reducing their prices by 30% because of the economy, and will go back to standard pricing when the economy returns to normal.

You just have to commit your down time to learning REI instead of going out partying and watching TV.  

I have quite a few ideas in my mind, but definitely have no direction since I have no experience in REI filed.Also, in many TV shows they pretend RE to be very easy-money, which I am not convinced, yet.

Couple these misleading articles with the resurgence of flipping TV shows and it's no surprise that there are tons of people lining up to get their feet wet.

I'd recommend connecting with actual RE investors and avoid the TV guru seminars that just sell training packages in hotel ballrooms.  

Think Cable TV, internet, phones....everyone does it.
