This is not a massive expense ($3k for test and design), but it could impact the design of the slab and foundation for any new construction -- the methane needs to basically be taken from the soil below the new building and vented out to above your building.ADUBuild an ADU in the rear of your lot, either by converting the garage (w/ optional addition), by demolishing and rebuilding the garage in the same footprint (w/ optional addition), or by demolishing the garage and building a new ADU (with 4' setbacks from side and rear property lines).I know you said your neighbor had issues with renting their ADU, but I think with good design, you can make even a smaller space a desirable place to live.

While you may rent in an area that has a great footprint for rentals, you do need to consider what can and will happen if things tighten up significantly and you loose a renter during that time and struggle to find another one.* Sump Pump Coverage - If you're in an area of the country where sump pumps are common, then you do need to know what coverage is in place* Outdoor / Other Property - If you have a detached garage, shed, retaining wall, costly wall or fence, etc., then you should certainly bring these items to your agents attention.

I can tell you from the photo that it won't fit within the footprint of that dishwasher, and if you take out the cabinet between the dishwasher and oven I don't think you'll be left with enough room to install both and have the necessary amount of space surrounding the unit.
