I try to invest as little time and emotion into the offers as necessary....that way I can do more and it disappoints me less.  

However, in my experience they still disappoint me from time to time.My theory is that the ones that have the skill set that makes them great at detail oriented work (i.e. framing, tile, trim, etc) rarely have the additional and completely different skill set of business skills (i.e. communication, scheduling, and money management). 

I think in the next 5-10 years growth will be considerable, and any investors that can get in now with the intent to buy and hold won't be disappointed.

This is a bit disappointing, so many of these deals suddenly don't seem so great now.

Do NOT rely on them to do it for you...you'll only be disappointed   We also run our own contracting company and I've got to say your assessment of that side of the business and the labor pool that goes along with it is spot on.

@Nino Alfano yea check and see, last I heard was they were not lending in IL but if you need a replacement you won't be disappointed with Renovo, PM me and I'll give you the number/email for the VP of Lending if you need. 

Does it mean that people listening to the original podcasts from 10 years ago are going to be disappointed that you can't buy any old SF on Zillow and net $632 a month on it in month 1? 

I really wasn't sure what to expect when I dropped my post and none of you disappointed. 

Additionally, the last account statement that they sent to me showed nothing.I've been extremely disappointed in their lack of responsiveness during the whole transfer process.
