Which REI Strategy to Focus On?
19 June 2020 | 25 replies
Flipping SFH:- PROS:o Higher potential velocity to financial freedom because of larger profits on each transaction.o No landlord/tenant issues.o I have a tiny bit of experience renovating and restoring houses I have owned, and I enjoy it for the most part.- CONS:o Not really “investing” because you don’t hold any asset. o Not passive at all.o Speed is of the essence and I am not sure how quickly I can move while working full time.o Transactional and more vulnerable to market swings.

I agree with @Jordan Moorhead -going east- particularly southeast now will get you in at a lower price point but is likely to see accelerated appreciation in a few years' time, and without sacrificing cashflow. https://www.kxan.com/news/loca...https://www.kxan.com/news/business/velocity-mixed-use-development-in-southeast-austin-prepares-to-break-ground-in-early-2021/Many of us are seeking ways to stay in Austin but lower the cost of acquisition with creative financing, jvs, etc.
