We have some cash on hand, but not sure the route we should go when it comes to financing.

Ideally, I would like to use the buy and hold strategy, with a 50k budget to get started.

Syndications are a very hands off (after all the work of vetting the GP and deal are done) of investing.

From there, you can expand your holdings into more multifamily / commercial multifamily.One of my mentees, @Steve Kenney, has a decent amount of multifamily out there and is an investor focused agent.

If you buy and hold, time will make you look like a genius.

Focus and consistency are going to be your best friends.Also, I wouldn't tackle buy-and-holds right now unless you currently have a high cash flow revenue stream in place.
