I'm a little frustrated with it, as it is an asset whose value hasn't increased much over the years and isn't getting much return on it (currently renting some of the land to a corn farmer to cover tax/maintenance costs).

@Kimberly RothHave the pop-corn ceiling tested for asbestos and make a decision based on the results.

It could be corn fields in farm country.

Asbestos is a known health hazard and is most dangerous when it is loose or damaged and in a “friable” state allowing fibers to be inhaled.

You need: gallon of vinegar food grade, micro fiber rags, big box baking soda, cruddy throw away rags, mop, soft brush, gloves, old used toothbrushes, 2 buckets, soft scraper, hot water, pledge multi surface cleaner.
