So back to real estate investing and getting my real estate license and never having to report to anybody but my bride.

My childhood home burned down in a fire and the new construction has recently been completed.

My childhood friend works in kitchen renovations so he helped with the installation of the granite.

For example, my parents and most of my childhood friends don’t like visiting Chicago or any big city because of “all the crime” as if the whole city is one dangerous neighborhood.

I grew up on it and my childhood home is on Airbnb.

From a childhood where my parents moved us every year, fixing up homes and selling for a profit (riding the RE wave of the 70s), I had an early comfort with and trust in real estate.  

So, I found a property and as opposed to wholesaling, I'd love to purchase and fix it myself due to it being in my childhood neighborhood.

In March, a selling agent and I viewed a 3plex (I wasn't interested in it) and she told me about a single-family house her childhood friend was considering selling. 

I've spent months wondering what kind of dark, malignant childhoods half of the people I talk to went through to develop such towering contempt for their parents and grandparents.In real estate, it's been working on my refinancing chops.

If that is the case, my Bride and I would rent our current home, move into the new one with about 200k in equity, fix it up, add a few bedrooms, with 2500sqft you should be able to.
