@Henri MeliGood advice from @Brian EastmanOur company does it both ways but I Personally prefer holding the property directly in the Ira over the LLC checkbook approach -for anonymity and ease of reporting and how it fits into my asset protection strategy.

I already don't have the protection of the LLC.The only reason I was thinking of having the tenant pay the LLC instead of me directly would be to have some anonymity from the tenant.

You can always have a fancy New Mexico holding company on top of that, but you'll want something local to hold the property (which, by the way, will erode your anonymity since you need to put names down for a Texas LLC).
