For years I had a few builders that specialized in in-filling, sometimes the adjacent lot owner was a good prospect because it increased the options to that owner, sometimes I was able to use the lot as a down payment on something else or able to have that owner use it to buy something else, so if you can get an option for $10 at a good price it's a cheap gamble.

The only way to really take risk on these buildings is to assume you have a solid set of bones or go by outside condition and figure everything inside needs to be replaced. running numbers on anything but this would be pure un educated gambling.

Simply mud jacking will not work because the grout will pull way from the slab as the soil settles.The next question is; how deep is the uncontrolled fill material?
