I have a place in wine country in OR and I thought it was going to be pretty bad last year, but was shocked. 

My husband is a wine broker and we are going to try to somehow build luxury wine into our brand.

Gourmet kitchen w/granite and SS appliances, Built ins, Rooftop terrace w/double sided fireplace to enjoy Fabulous water views of the Potomac River ,Wet bar wine fridge and dishwasher on Rooftop level with over sized bedroom and full bath.

Biggest things are:Ensuring the place is actually clean before the guest arrivesMaking sure all consumables are stocked up: TP, paper towels, soaps, shampoosMaking sure all remotes are in the right place and not lost.Basic cooking needs is a big one people have asked about in previous airbnbs I have managed, i.e mixing bowls, measuring cups etc.Other wise there are some things that arent "needed" but can sure go a long way, such as leaving a $5-6 bottle of wine or some candy for your guests to enjoy, or things such as gift cards to some local place nearby.

I am still in the process of looking to become prequalified within the 3-6 months for either VA or FHA Loan.I am looking for W-2 work, as most of the lenders, agents, and other real estate pros have said with being self-employed at least 2 years of income is required, and I just started my wine tour LLC business back in July and that won’t fly 🤦🏾‍♀️.

On the flip side, I've easily seen people fighting to rent units for $5k+There's a big difference between the west side (Chelsea is one of my favorite neighborhoods, Google's HQ, lots of wine spots) and the east side (mostly affordable housing).
