So when you do the 1031 you will need to purchase only as much as your part of the sale.But where this is complicated is that purchasing a LP interest in a syndication does not qualify as buying real estate.

Buyer is a newly formed LLC out of Houston, so even farther away.  

This is the fork where I'm not sure if I'd be good to get some CRE exp and invest in learning about how to review deals for the next 2-3 years, or focus on generating revenue for investment purposes and watch how things are done as a LP.My personality more aligns with networking, reaching out to people, connecting, navigating difficult situations and finding solutions that work.

He even chatted with me through this forum (Bigger Pockets) and was very encouraging that you can even do it just with free stuff out there.  

I’ve had several deals like this on the buy side and sell side where the “gremlins” came out and started whispering against my intuitions.
