Fluffy cotton candy cloud fellow human being type responses exist to cover the stink of the real reason people do it. 

I'm going to suggest that because there are so many different ways to invest, along with so many different motivations/expectations of the individual players, that the diversity clouds people's mind away from what it is that makes it possible to invest in real estate in the first place, for all investors...drum roll...Property rights.

Prior to moving my database into the cloud, this laptop hosted my database, never once had an issue of crashing or losing data.

Pull your head out of the clouds and put some calluses on your hands.

So just take a speed ball and enjoy the mushroom cloud. 

I didn't need any second guesses clouding my judgement on whether a place was a good deal.Now, the flip side.

Chase really hit the nail on the head with his initial answer, especially the part about the dangers of not having reserves.

If you reach for a star you may only catch a cloud, but you certainly won't grab a handful of mud!!!

It all saves to the cloud, so it is user friendly.
