I do not have any far fetched dreams that I will become a billionaire overnight, so I do expect lots of blood, sweat, tears along with some trial and error learning as well before I can even relax for a minute.Is there any local area events where I can meet some fellow investors?

I'm reading the BiggerPockets STR book by Avery Carl which seems to give examples of how to automate with apps and run systems with a team. 

My suggestion is if you do not have an excellent view from your lots then sell them and get with @Avery Carl to find you a decent cabin as it would be cheaper in the long run and provide cash flow immediately.
