Do you expect appreciation from the house or perhaps depreciation (since a financial crisis is not out of the question in my mind)?

Also agree about China, their potential role as the pre-eminent global reserve currency was already dubious before this crisis.

I purchased it at the end of the housing crisis.  

Of course I got in during the financial crisis (boy those were the good day$$$$) now too many "investors" casing deals driving up prices.

My first rental was purchased was in 2003 which is 1 of the rentals I only have 2 rentals because of a bad series of events that went down with me and my old partner in the financial crisis.

We will probably see an economic recession, but if you look at historic data, every single recession has seen home prices go sideways or up - except the mortgage crisis in 2007 that eventually turned into a recession.
