Noah,Not too sure about Atlanta, but you may want to take a look at Athens, GA, only 1.5 hours away.Athens has the lowest unemployment in the state of GA, opening brand new major manufacturing plants in the area (Caterpillar and Baxter nearby).

Thanks for sharing. for the side, zero gravel or fill, just add some garden type planter or few plants on nice pots to fill the side. feels like the view may be you step out of the home on the back and you see that garage, it would be a nice touch and life added to it.

I managed to fight through multiple career struggles, whether it be a plant closure, Great Recession layoffs, company move/consolidation, and a "realignment" after a company sale. 

Just because the huge Corporate farm next to your 100 acres is able to make huge profits planting Corn does not mean that you can too.

My thought is leaving them a gift card and plant of some sort.
