Being a native of Indianapolis, I am hoping to invest there soon.

My family has been native to coastal California for several generations, and I live in my home town of La Jolla (Bird Rock).I've been indirectly involved in real estate investing/development for most of my life, although my career paths have crossed into many other areas, including investment banking, entertainment, and several startups and entrepreneurial ventures.

@Ben Strumeier  I am a native of Jacksonville Florida and I have owned residential and commerical property in the area but currently I focus on self storage facilities almost exclusively and I cannot be more familiar or happy with the area.  

I would have expected locations like mine to react first given the maturity of the market and having had a couple years sooner recovery compared to most places.

NYC can be daunting even to natives.

However all of the retail REITS I own reacted very positively to this news.

I think the review was positive and if you react that way, a prospective guest will take it that way as well.
