As @Stewart Guthrie mentioned there are also a lot of places near by (within an hour to two hour drive) that have prices that are easier to "stomach" and tend to be easier to cash flow.

Cash for keys or no cash for keys I am learning here depends on the individuals  personal situation, the prevailing laws in the area and one's stomach for conflict.

I took a gander at MMM and found you over there too (I literally couldn't stomach reading that site though, found the ideas as a very sad way to "retire").
