So anyway, unless you are smarter than me, that kind of thing can happen... that's the reason there is no perpetual motion machine and no free electrical device you can build in your garage.

In other words you're not obligating yourself to a Section 8 tenant in perpetuity outside of a specific set of reasons. 

Helotes is full of "rich white people" which is the stereotype that people think of when they think Helotes.

Right now, they just have an echo-chamber of like-minded full-time residents reinforcing their stereotypes of outside investors. 

It may be a stereotype, but the homeless are often mentally handicapped, and some are battle-scarred veterans, well-versed in the use of their own weapons.  

My subjective view is it is slowing a bit but many states, especially rural states, will need travelers for a perpetual amount of time just to function.

I won't go on with the novel, but he are some other red flags: 1) When I showed up to the acquisition manager's house, his wife was running late as she was coming from two eviction hearings at court that morning. 2) At one point on the tour, a young man dressed in stereotypical ghetto ware approached both the PM and Myself in front of a house (I wasn't sure if he was going to try and sell us drugs or what) and said that we didn't look like we belonged in the neighborhood and "are you guys investors?".

The pre-recession sharks would 100% target whoever they deemed easy "marks," more or less using stereotypes in that determination, local to wherever they happened to be. 

Can anyone fill me in about the "stereotypes" of section 8 tenants?

I attribute this to the fact that the "system" wants to help perpetuate income and their jobs.
