We have a ski in/ski out rental in Colorado and the one factor we're aware of but no one has brought up yet in this discussion is the impact of rising temperatures on, in this case, ski resorts.

Hi all, Trying to check the temperature on how people are thinking about FL's new inspections and reserves law (which will impact anyone with a condo or a coop in a building 3-stories or taller).

Many times electric baseboard is sized to maintain temperature, but not enough to allow the temperature to be lowered during the day when people leave home and to bring it up to temp when they come home.

I removed popcorn ceilings, painted all walls (inside and out), replaced and changed out light fixtures (inside and outside), furnished the entire home, and created a fun outdoor space (fire pit, grill, picnic area, outdoor games - including wiffle ball!).

Some of the things that have happened during the last 7 years of running STRS, loose deck boards, rotten outdoor steps, broken interior hand rail mounts, loose electrical outlet...Any of those could cause a major accident so they were repaired asap.

I'm still doing market research and can't decide what would be a less riskier option for me, is it better to find a property in a vacation destination that's more rural and outdoors or a property in a more urban/metro area?

If you are looking at apartments, space is the premium, but light is important as well if you don't have dedicated outdoor space (balcony).

. - One possible solution would be to keep the existing boiler/baseboard system for backup and/or use in extreme cold (possibly triggered by an outside temperature sensor).

All the hotel brands are coming to market with new franchises that have full kitchens, large rooms, pools, laundry, gym, outdoor courtyards and kitchens, are located directly in the dining, entertainment, and shopping districts and adjacant to transportation corridors and have on site staff. 

You want to check the toilets and under every sink, outdoor hose bibs, etc.
