@John Suralik  kris is talking about sub too.. and this is why I really take offense to these types of things.. he buys it knowing the loan is not in his name so if he walk he could care less its the poor seller that got duped that gets their credit trashed..

I have no idea how much you know about the remodel process, so please don't take any offense if my questions seem stupid to you.

Offenses have to be much more egregious than this for different levels of government to get involved.Good luck.

This is the most insane and offensive post I've ever seen on BP.Hope you enjoy your time on your local TV stations investigative reports of the landlord who discriminates on weight.

Was the seller represented by a Real estate broker .. as we don't use attorneys in CA very often for these vanilla deals.If she let some wholesaler type person talk her into this then she is totally screwed.take no offense but non licensed wholesalers are very very dangerous for most folks to deal with as they don't know enough about real estate ( most being new) and or they are only out for themselves and could care less about the seller..

. :-)   It comes from agents (no offense), lenders, sellers, tenants, relatives, co workers, contractors, strangers       Overcoming all that is part of the fun and satisfaction.  

That being said everyone here is a real estate investor so I wanted to see if everyone was dealing with this same situation.No offense taken!

It happens frequently, can cause some bad feelings, but ultimately no one involved committed a felony level offense.
