I work with a great lender team that can get you an initial ‘Pre Approval’ or letter of intent. 

There 50 other leases in the building which clearly specify a 1 yr term then go month to month which Im sure was the intent here but the leasing manager neglected to fill out the info.One of the weirdest lease things Ive seen.

Can the lender still file the lien after-the-fact as long as the promissory note clearly indicated that the intent was for the subject property to be collateral?

I would just make sure your intention is try to do STR.

Jason - The reason I own a parcel is because my initial intent was to build a single family LTR and unfortunately I signed a build contract with a builder that I relied on a turnkey provider to vet.

This little economic slow down that was intentionally created to slow the economy to fight inflation is barely a pimple compared to the Great Recession. 

So, the number of inquiries will be understandably lower with that approach and intentionally so.
