Chicago basements/adu's are so tough to understand.Have you had any instances where some areas were slightly under 7' and inspectors made the owner/contractor rip out the floor because it was not adequate?

This is not to say you can expect an Agent to catch everything and we are by no means inspectors or contractors, but anyone helping you purchase a rental property should have a basic understanding of rental standards to put out a good product that will attract a good tenant. - Lastly, if you are looking at real estate as a long term buy and hold strategy, you have to look beyond just cash flow.

No one has more "skin in the game" than a PMC as they have to deal with the property every day until an owner sells or fires them.Also recommend finding your own Inspector and not one referred by an agent.
