I am not particularly fond of college and am unsure that I even want a career pertaining to Political Science.Now on to Real Estate: I am interested in Real Estate and a possible career in RE, and I am contemplating putting my degree on hold in order to take the necessary courses to become a licensed agent (I live in California).

Dave Carpenter I was a broker in Fond du Lac for 10 years, I have since relocated, one of my investor buyers parents in-law had a significant portfolio in Waupun, we discussed rents there, and when his father in law wanted to sell, we couldn't make the numbers work, due to low market rents, in les it has changed in the past couple years, that town was full of 2 bedrooms for $350-$450/mo.

My wife is very fond of using the 'Trends' view to properly categorize everything.We have accounts that are exempt from tracking (business credit card, investment accounts) and other expenses that are outside the norm, we can easily add an 'Exempt' tag to them so they stay off the budget trends view.It takes a good bit of curation, but once you get it working well, it'll be hard to understand how you went without it.

@Joe R. from what I have been told, if you have a mortgage on the property from a bank they don't look to fondly on someone holding a property in an LLC and can call for the "due on sale" clause which means you would have to fully pay the mortgage at that time if they decide to do so.This is a pretty debated topic here on BP.

I love the passion you speak with, it's extremely motivating to me and I'm sure to everyone who else that has read this.It sounds like our background stories are extremely similar, I went to school and received a finance degree with the hopes of getting into investment banking, but I also wasn't fond of the 100+ hour weeks.
