I also have a 4/1 a 3/1, And a 1996 infill house thats a 3/2.5 in the same neighborhood, it doesnt command a premium on rent as the prospectice pool cant seem to afford much more.

If they are doing deals they have proof of funds letters on command as you will NOT have been the first person to ask for it.

Hypothetically, IF your husband DID intend to reenlist, to solve this issue you would just have to write a letter to the lender that said "I intend to reenlist" and you would also have to get a letter from his command that said he was eligible to reenlist.

Your explanation of events is long and a bit difficult to read (you may want to shorten to encourage more responses), but I would try to go over this person's head/chain of command and complain that they did not explain that the $100 was non refunadable.
