I know that the people I surround myself with make it a priority to put 'me time' in the calendar.So here we go: take 5 mins to have a coffee and find a picture that makes you laugh but encompasses your dreams.

I am not sure when that area description was dropped, but this area now encompasses neighborhoods such as Queen Village, Bella Vista, etc. 

Agree with Steve B in that I wouldn't try to make it more modern but accent it's vintage charm.

I believe it will take a change in state laws for this boundary to be dropped, and frankly, I don't know that the locals want it to be because the charm of Bend would be lost.  

I was referring to Detroit Metro which encompasses most of the area you posted I believe. 

I think its kinda charming local vernacular too.
