Once you have more than enough income stream from the US, taking some riskier gambles abroad may make sense.

They are typically interested in a furnished bedroom, have the income stream to guarantee rent payments and are fairly low-maintenance. 

My suspicion is the Millions of dollars sitting in TC accounts for 5-7 days are collecting interest and a new revenue stream for TC. 

You might be better off purchasing multiple properties with the proceeds and give your self a greater potential for multiple streams of cash. later down the road you can do another 1031.
