I think he was referring to whether or not it would resolve the odor.

@Theodor Kim If I were to start as a new broker I'd start with a high producing team ($20M+ yearly volume, you can ask for their volume when interviewing the teams) rather than trying to figuring everything out on my own. keep in mind that it would be very likely that you couldn't make much money as a broker in the first year or two in real unless you are a complete exception.

If the odor is not properly mitigated that will cause ongoing problems.

If you are sure there are no leaks or ongoing problem and Ozone machine may help kill the odor.

Fortunately no other rooms in the house have the odor. 

Theodore,    I have a couple I can recommend based on others' experience, not my own, but I would be happy to share.

The fact that the odor is that bad after only living there for 4 months concerns me greatly about the repair costs when they move out (2 year lease).
