Another big problem you’ll have in the Poconos is that contractors & service professionals & cleaners & handymen have a habit of being SOOOO unreliable that there’s actually a term for it: the Pocono Promise.

I am a carpet cleaner.

Realtor says second unit is nicer and cleaner than the one I saw.

If you want to continue trying to clean them, get a professional carpet cleaner and have them treat it with enzymes or something designed specifically for pet odors.

No crazy expenses, but it is an older space and needs renovated so my cleaner keeps me updated with what needs to be done which feels pretty frequent.

And yes- cleaners typically wash linens off site, so you need at least one spare set that they can change right away. 

All you need are cleaners and a handyperson to get started, and your agent should be able to get you hooked up with some recommendations!

With grandparents and parents the house seems cleaner, kids watched.
