Hi BP members, I'm Jen from Brooklyn, NY and new to BP as well as real estate investing.I found BP through the BiggerPockets Podcast and in the past few weeks have listened to at least one episode a day while riding the subway to work.I currently work in the fashion and entertainment industry and while it is fun, it can be challenging to secure a future in such a fickle industry.I became interested in REI years ago after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad but nothing ever came of it until now.

Will any "crowdfunding" sites allow you to raise funds for a SFR in this fashion?

I followed up on an offer via e-mail with an old fashioned phone call to a listing agent and got a 5% down offer accepted on a condo with no other units in the HOA going for less than 20% down that we could find within the last six months, just last month -- a phone call does amazing things.Also, you can't use Chase Bank for a purchase mortgage in the Bay Area.

How to utilize credit cards( float them to use thier words) by staggering due dates , raising credit limits, on 2 to 3 cards at once and robbing Peter to pay Paul to buy time.3.That utilizing my credit cards in this fashion is exactly how I choose NOT to invest in real estate.4.How to REALLY upset an instructor at a guru workshop .Was it worth $1750 ....no but I over paid so I'm gonna own my mistake.

I want to find someone who is already doing that in Charlotte, and work with them as an apprentice or some sort of similar fashion to learn.

It just requires some good, old-fashioned hard work and entrepreneurial spirit.

It's also a legal requirement for me to submit ALL offers in a timely fashion.
