The other one came because I asked a co-worker (a realtor) if they had worked with anyone they liked and that is how Michelle's name popped up. :) So, not one-to-one, but better than a cold call.

Her income, under the table for watching family members, was unverifiable so we put the co-signing dad (divorced from the kid-raising mom)  on the rental agreement as a co-tenant.

Yes, but I would make the relative a "personal guarantor" not a co-signer.

I co-own a duplex with my dad. Its a property we have owned for 2 years with a 30 year conventional loan. Is there a precedence for being able to remove a name from a loan, or does anyone know of how to do this? I hav...
