@Joel Katzen    I experienced the same at another crowdfunding site (I dare not mention the name - I've seen the recriminations and accusations that recklessly fly here when suspicious minds over-ruminate.)They sent me a reduced balloon payment which, when added with the interest i'd already received, totaled exactly the amount i'd originally invested.

And the state law already provides that in both Upset and Judicial Tax Sales, the Realty Transfer Tax is based on the assessed value, no matter how low the actual purchase price might be.In one case I personally witnessed, an old abandoned factory building was sold at Judicial Tax Sale.

Real estate is already an extremely litigious realm with serious past accusations of discrimination, and a database like this would lead to a ton of lawsuits against anyone who built it and its customers I can imagine.

Hence the disclosure codes and statutes set in place to prevent such akward scenarios.Like the previous agent points out, even the buyers agent hearing and countering offers initially secretly on his own property - unbeknownst to client that agent is also principal - would not be scandalous in some agents eyes because before they accept the offer, they will 'counteroffer' their pokerface disclosure just like you've similarly witnessed firsthand.Keeps Dept of Real Estate busy issuing misdemeanors, suspensions and such from time to time after investigating details of iffy transactions all the time.
